Another day at Storage Station

One day as I was finishing up my day at working at the store I did my usual things at the end of the day . I fax all daily reports to the main office. I made sure the office was clean and the trash was taken out. I then  started to back up the computer and while the computer is backing up I turn off the light and turn the open sign around  to read closed. After the computer was done I then shut it down. Now I was ready to leave. I then set the alarm and was ready to go. I did my rounds at the storage station store. Made sure everything was OK. Said goodnight to the tenants that were at their units. I then drove over to the other storage station store across town about three miles away.

Yes I run two storage station stores. I run this store office out of the one that I just left. As I got their I open the gate with my remote and entry. I them process to drive around the place and make sure that everything was ok and all the unit were lock and close as I did at the other place. I also said goodnight to the tenants that were at their units. I stop by the office and made sure that everything was ok . I drop off the deposits in the office that had to go the the bank the nest day.

As I was pulling into the I notice two kids standing  on the curb and crying. I ask them what was wrong. They told me that they had to clean their rooms and they have no place to put the things that were on the floor. There closet was full. I said to them that I know their mom and dad. We then started walking to their house. I ran into  their dad in the drive way. I told him What his two kids told me. We talk for awhile and I then suggest to him to thing about renting a small storage unit for the things that were takeing up to much space around the house. He thought that was a great idea but have to talk to the wife about it.

The next day I was working and in walk the two kids and their mom and dad. They rented a small unit for all their thing. The kids were happy and they had some candy that we put out. After signing the contract and paying the bill they started to leave. The kids turn to me and ask if I work for god. I ask them why would you ask me that.

They said when I saw them sitting on the curb they were praying to god for help. I told them that it is my job to help people in need of places to store the extra things they have and that I was glad I could help them with their needs. I thought about what the kids said and I guess we in the storage business  are always working day and night to serve the people.
